Dinesh Karthik!! The finisher was seen back in action as the wicketkeeper played a collosal match-winning knock of 28* of just 10 deliveries, helping his franchise get its first victory of the season.
In his interaction with Jio Cecima, former RCB player Mr. 360 Devilliers was all praise for Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik for their match-winning knocks. He even praised RCB for retaining the wicketkeeper batter, saying that Karthik has repaid the faith shown in him.
Speaking of the same, Ab Devilliers said, “I thought Virat played superbly. Kept the innings together for the guys. And then, DK, what an addition to that side! In that middle-order or finishing role. I thought it was a bold move back then.”
Ab Devilliers was all praise for the smarts shown by Dinesh Karthik while batting. The former Rcbian feels that Karthik was smart enough to not take any risks and play calculative shots.
Ab devilliers said, “But the calmness that he brings and how smart he is. Yes, not the best bowling at the back end of an inning. But he didn’t take a lot of risks. He was very calculated, and he knew they couldn’t lose another wicket. 28 runs off 10 balls at the back end, whether good or bad bowling, is an exceptional effort. Obviously, I had backing with Lomror there as well.”
