Check The Possible Playing XI Of The Indian Team To Face Australia In The T20 World Cup

The Indian team will face Australia in the first semi-finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. The last final of the T20 World Cup 2022 was played between these two teams, but both teams will clash in the semi-finals this time.

Australia’s dominance in the T20 World Cup can be gauged from the fact that this team has entered the finals in six of the seven T20 World Cups held so far and has won five times the title. The Indian team would be looking to avenge their losses in the 2020 T20 World Cup and the final of the Commonwealth Games by defeating Australia in the semi-finals.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s team played four matches in Group B, winning three and losing by 11 runs against England. India reached the last four by finishing second in the group.

Australia is a team with cricketers like skipper Meg Lanning, Alyssa Healy, Ellyse Perry, Ashley Gardner, and Beth Mooney, who can take advantage of any small mistake and make a comeback.

Before the match, Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur said, “We lost the home T20 series against Australia, but the kind of cricket we played there gave us immense confidence. Now we know them very well, what are their weaknesses and where are they strong.”

Meanwhile, Australian cricketer, Beth Mooney said, “I expect a big match. In the last few years, the Indian team has given us a tough challenge. They have many match-winning cricketers.”
