Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Jadeja Will Play The 1st Test Against Australia Or Not? Here Is An Update

Australia has reached India for a four-match test series under the Border-Gavaskar trophy and in almost 5 months star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will make his comeback to the team. Jadeja had been out from the Indian squad due to a severe back injury that he got during the Asia Cup 2022 played in UAE.

The star all-rounder was determined fully fit by NCA and he played for Saurashtra from January 24-27. Despite Saurashtra’s loss, Jadeja managed to get 8 wickets out of which 8 wickets came in a single inning.

The report suggests that BCCI sent a personal physio for Jadeja who had been there with him examining his fitness and recovery. After the match, Jadeja is again back to National Cricket Academy where he will make sure to play the first match against Australia starting on February 9, 2023.

This four-match test series will be important for both the teams considering World Test Championship. The final of this event will take place after the IPL. With this Border-Gavaskar trophy, both teams will try to cement their place in the top 2 positions in ICC Test Championship Points Table.
