RCB vs GT, IPL 2024: RCB Keeps The Playoffs Hopes Alive With Another Win, Beat Gujarat By 4 Wickets

In one of the crunch matches of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the home team beat Gujarat Titans by four wickets at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. With this win, RCB has kept their hopes alive for the playoffs.

In this match, RCB captain Fad du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first. Gujrat Titans looked average with their bowling from ball one and they lost Wriddhiman Saha at the score of one, in 1.3 overs. After that, Shahrukh Khan, David Miller, and Rahul Tewatia scored 37, 30 and 35 respectively. With these scores, GT managed to reach a score of 147 runs.

Talking about RCB bowling, Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal, and Vijay Kumar Vshyak got two wickets each. On the other hand, Karn Sharma and Cameron Green bagged one wicket each in their kitty.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru chased down this target in 13.4 overs with four wickets in hand. Virat Kohli and Plessis put on a partnership of 92 runs for the first wicket. Plessis returned to the pavilion after scoring 64 runs in just 23 balls with the help of ten fours and three sixes. Kohli once again looked confident for another fifty, however, he was dismissed at 42 in 27 balls. After this RCB started losing wickets, but in the end it was Dinesh Karthik(21) and Swapnil Singh(15) who took RCB home in 13.4 overs.

For GT, Joshua Little got four wickets while Noor Ahmed managed to get one.
