Anil Kumble’s Delight: Yashasvi Jaiswal’s Batting and Leg-Spin Showcase

Team India and England are up against one another in Ranchi for the fourth test match of the series. The first day of the fourth test was evenly poised for both India and England.

However, team India’s skipper Rohit Sharma, who’s known for his smart skills on the field, shocked everyone as he asked Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal to roll over his arms for the final over of the day’s first play.

Well, this move by Rohit Sharma shocked everyone, from cricket experts to fans, as they saw Yashasvi bowl for the first time in the longest format of the game. However,  this move by Rohit would surely have brought a smile to the face of India’s greatest leg spinner, Anil Kumble.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been the highlight of the series as the dashing opener has been in the form of his life, scoring two doubles and scoring over 500 runs already in the series.

However, after India’s victory over England in the third test match, Anil Kumble advised Yashasvi Jaiswal to focus on his bowling; he even requested that Yashasvi ask for a few overs from skipper Rohit Sharma. 

Ashwin’s Century: Rewriting Cricket History against England

Speaking of the match, England showed a great fightback as the visitors were reduced to 112/5, but after that, England’s former skipper Joe Root became his team savior, scoring a prolific 106*. He, along with Ben Fokes, added 114 runs for the sixth wicket to bring England back into the contest.

England are currently placed in a comfortable position with 302/7 on the scoreboard. Joe Root (106) and Ollie Robinson (31) will take things forward for visitors from here on.
