“Pakistan vs Sri-Lanka Match Was Fixed” Serious Allegation On Sri-Lankan Cricket Board

Sri-Lankan member of Parliament Nalin Bandara has put down serious allegation on the Sri-Lankan Cricket Board. He stated that the test match played between Pakistan and Sri-Lanka in July 2022 was fixed.

In July 2022, Pakistani team have toured Sri-Lanka to play the test series. In the opening encounter of the test match, Green army have chased down the challenging target of 342 runs in the fourth inning. Generally, chasing down the total of 300+ runs in the fourth innings on the turning pitch is impossible task to do but the Pakistani team had done it very smoothly.

After the accusation, Sri-Lankan Cricket Board has invited Alex Marshall, the head of ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit, to examine the details and probe whether the allegation made by the Nalin is correct or not.

“In the last Pakistan series, our team scored 400-odd, and still lost in the last innings. From the person who rolls the pitch, everyone has been given money. The board has become a gambling den” said Nalin Bandara.

Currently, Bandara hasn’t enough source to probe the charge against the sri-lankan Board. He described that board mismanage the player and every was paid in that match.
However, ICC hasn’t issued any statement on this matter till now.
