Recent Indian skipper, Hardik Pandya is emerging as the new leader. Currently, he is at the 3rd position in the ICC ranking of all-rounders. In the Indian Premier League 2021, Hardik showed his amazing leadership quality and helped his team to lift the prestigious trophy in their debut tournament. Whereas, after the T20 World team blue clinched the three-match T20 series by 1-0 under his captaincy.
Hardik is getting applause from all over the cricketing world fraternity. His teammate of IPL and South African destructive batter David Miller praised the Indian all-rounder. He stated that Hardik is a natural leader and he always allows his teammates to play with full freedom. He described Hardik’s strategy as always clear with discipline.
“Just playing under him in the IPL, I feel he is a natural leader. He allows you to play the way that you feel like you can. He is very inclusive as a leader, he wants everyone to be close to each other. On the other hand, he is clear with discipline. He has got a lot of good attributes of a leader. In IPL he got better and better as the season progressed and I see him doing that in the team blue” said David Miller
Talking about him, David explained that he gave freedom to every player to the way they want. Hardik always supports his teammates in bad times.
“He will make the players a lot better in the mindset. 100 percent. He allows the guys to do what they want to do which is important” Miller further added.

After the humiliating exit from the T20 World Cup and looking at the future of the T20 cricket of Indian team, experts suggest that Pandya should be in charge of team blue in the shortest format. However, in an interview, Hardik stated that we have started our preparation for the T20 World Cup 2024, so it might be possible that he will lead the team in further matches as well.
