Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif was all praise for Virat Kohli and even lashed out at people who were criticizing Virat Kohli because of his strike rate. Virat Kohli continued his fine form in the IPL, scoring 70* of just 44 deliveries and becoming the first batter to cross the 500-run mark in this season.
Kaif was all praise for the star batter and even pointed out Kohli hitting a six that he struck on Haris Rauf’s delivery in the T20 World Cup 2022.
In his recent X post, Kaif wrote, “Virat Kohli once again shows T20 cricket isn’t just about the strike rate. To hit Haris Rauf for 6 at the World T20 in a packed MCG and finish the game, you need Sher ka Jigar, not strike rate (SR). Kohli is in the same mode in this IPL.”
During the run chase, Virat Kohli achieved another massive feat, becoming the player to hit most half centuries (24) in a run chase, surpassing Shikhar Dhawan, who has 23 to his name.
Virat Kohli and Rcb will be next seen in action against the Gujarat Titans on May 4 in Bangluru.
