It was Babar Azam’s 100th ODI match for the national team and he got a special record in this. Now Babar Azam holds the record of most runs after 100th ODI matches by any batter in the history of cricket.

Babar has scored 5142 runs at an average of 58.43 which includes 18 centuries and 27 half-centuries. He became the first player to score over 5000 runs after 100 ODIs. In this list, he surpassed the record of South Africa’s Hashim Amla, who had scored 4946 runs in his first 100 matches. The legendary West Indian batsman Vivian Richards holds the third position with 4607 runs.

As captain, he also reached the third position in gaining the most number of victories while chasing 300 runs. Under the captaincy of Babar Azam, Pakistan has chased the 300 score for the fourth time. England’s Eoin Morgan is at number one position with eight points and former Indian captain Dhoni is at second position with seven points.

Pakistan has taken an unbeatable 1-0 lead against Afghanistan by defeating them by 1 wicket in the second ODI. After winning the toss and opting to bat, Afghanistan managed to score 300 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz played an excellent innings of 151 runs with the help of 14 boundaries and 3 sixes in 151 balls. Ibrahim Zadran contributed 80 runs.
