“I have never see anything…”Unveiling the Brilliance of Jake Fraser-McGurk’s DC Debut

Young Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk announced his arrival in the IPL with a stealthy performance on his debut. Chasing the target of 168 against the Lucknow Super Giants, Jake Fraser-McGurk scored a fine half century (55) of just 35 deliveries.

After the match, Jake Fraser-Mcgurk said that he was anxious after the first five matches and wanted to leave his mark in the IPL.

Jake Fraser-Mcgurk said, “I’ve spent the last five, six games on the sidelines just watching it and itching to get out there. So just to get out there and have my first game be a win, I’m stoked. Trying not to swing too hard and losing the shape, and just trying to find the middle of the bat and just watching the ball and reacting to it. That’s what I’ve been doing for the last twelve months, and why change it?”

Jake Fraser-Mcgurk also talked about his favorite shots, saying that the one he hit over covers was his favorite. The star player hit five sixes and two boundaries in his inning.

Jake Fraser-Mcgurk said, “(Which shot he loved the most?) I loved that one over cover. I don’t usually hit that many on the offside, so. I think it’s something that I’ll continue to learn to do—batting more out of the powerplay, focusing on my strike rate, and rotating the strike as well. I believe it’s a skill that will come with experience, and playing more games will definitely aid in that.”

The young star further added that he had not experienced something like IPL before, and it was a different experience for him.

Jake Fraser-Mcgurk said, “I’m thrilled to be here; it’s like stepping into a different world. I’ve never seen anything quite like it before. The firsthand experience has been brilliant, and I hope for more. It’s an amazing time to be in India.”
