Rishabh Pant Achieves a Huge Milestone, Joins The Elite List Of Shubman Gill And Virat Kohli

In his excellent performance against LSG at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on April 12, Friday, Rishabh Pant became the third youngest player to score 3000 runs in the IPL.

Pant came with his classic aggressive style by scoring 41 runs off 24 balls, leading DC to a comfortable 6-wicket victory against LSG at their home ground. This win lifted DC from the bottom to the 9th position in the points table.

Pant reached the milestone of 3000 IPL runs on the last delivery of the 12th over by hitting a four off Marcus Stoinis’ delivery.

He became the third youngest player to reach the 3000-run mark in the IPL, after Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli. Among the 25 batters who have scored 3000 or more runs in the IPL. Pant has a strike rate of 148.4 and he is only behind AB de Villiers’ 151.68 and Chris Gayle’s 148.96.

In this match, Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and elected to bat first. While batting first, LSG put on a total of 167 runs at the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For LSG, Ayush Badoni scored the maximum 55 runs while captain KL Rahul contributed with 39 runs.

While chasing the target, apart from Fraser’s 55, captain Rishabh Pant got 41 runs and then Prithvi Shaw got 32 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav who got three wickets at the expense of 20 runs in his quota of four overs got man of the match.
