Mayank Yadav has impressed everyone with his sheer pace and brilliant line and length in the ongoing season of IPL 2024. The bowler has played only three matches for Lucknow Super Giants but has impressed everyone, from fans to selectors. Not only this, according to the latest report, the bowler may head towards the T20 World Cup 2024 with team India as the selectors are keeping a close eye on him.
His exceptional speed and steady performance caught the attention of selectors even before he made his IPL debut. Although the fast bowler from Lucknow Super Giants is currently injured, selectors are closely monitoring his recovery.
While having a conversation with InsideSport, a senior BCCI official said, “Mayank is an excellent talent. We have been keeping a close tab on him for a few months now.”

Mayank Yadav may not be rushed into the India Playing XI for the T20 World Cup, especially with Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh being strong contenders to partner Jasprit Bumrah.
However, the selectors are eager to include him in the squad, even if it’s as a net bowler. The BCCI logistics team is already working on managing his visa.
“And even if he does not make it to the squad, we hope to have him with the team in the USA,” the BCCI official said.
