India and England will be facing each other in a five-match Test series starting on January 25, 2024. Before that, there is some good news for the star England cricket fans as the skipper for the red-ball cricket Ben Stokes has successfully undergone his knee surgery.

The English captain took to his official Instagram account to announce the news of his surgery. Stokes will now take these two months to get fully fit before the Test Series against India.

The captain of the England Test team chose to undergo surgery due to a notable decline in his performance throughout the 2023 season. Due to his abrupt knee condition, Stokes was unable to bowl and bat particularly during the 2023 Indian Premier League season.

Ben Stokes had been dealing with a persistent knee issue for the past 18 months. The England Test captain experienced chronic tendonitis in his left knee, impacting not only his bowling abilities but also necessitating a modification of his role within the team.

The five-match Test series is set to commence in Hyderabad, with the first Test scheduled from January 25-29. The second game will take place in Visakhapatnam from February 2 to 6, Rajkot will host the third match of the series which will be played from February 15 to 19), and the fourth game of the series will be played in Ranchi (February 23-27), and the final Test will be held in Dharamsala from March 7 to 11.
