“What I meant by my comment was….” Javed Miamdad Explained His Previous “Go To Hell” Comment On BCCI

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board are trending among every cricket expert. The reason behind this is that BCCI has directly denied traveling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023 and added that in straightforward lines, If Asia Cup 2023 will be played in Pakistan, then the Indian team will not participate because of security issues.

On the stance of BCCI, PCB threatened BCCI that if India does not travel to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023, then the Pakistani team will not travel to India for ODI World Cup 2023. After this Asian Cricket Council (ACC) held a meeting in which it was decided that Asia Cup 2023 would be played at a neutral venue that will be decided in March.

Looking at the BCCI stance, former Pakistani cricketer Javed Maindad criticized BCCI in a recent statement and added that the Indian team would go to hell if they didn’t want to come to Pakistan. And again, he clarified with another explosive statement when a media report dug his comment of hell for the Indian team.

“Do you know what the hell means? If you don’t want to play, don’t. We don’t have a problem. Ask the Indian cricketers. They’ll also say that there should be cricket between these two teams in their respective countries. It’ll benefit both nations. If they think their (India) not coming to Pakistan makes any difference, let me tell you that it doesn’t. That’s what I meant. We are independent. Pakistan has produced world-class cricketers as well as hockey players. Everywhere around the world, neighboring countries are playing with each other,” Miandad said.
Due to political tension between both nations, arch-rivals clash in the ICC and ACC tournaments with a houseful theatre. Further, Javed explained that he meant if cricket teams are not playing cricket, then what should they do?

“What I meant by my comment was, what should we do if you are not playing? It’s not like if India plays, we’ll get something out of it. I am just saying there’ll be a good relationship between the two countries,” Miandad explained.

The former Pakistan skipper further explained the whole incident when he came to India, and these moments were twisted and taken out of context because they are out of context of cricket.

“I went and met Bal Thackeray in his house. He was so nice to me. I did 9 programs, even on the roads. Everything went by without a glitch. Some people in India twist things. But if you take the Indian masses, they are not like this only. My comment was also twisted. They didn’t understand what I meant. I said it positively,” Miandad further added.
