PM Narendra Modi’s Heartfelt Wishes For Mohammed Shami’s Speedy Recovery

Team India’s seam bowling sensation Mohammad Shami has given a huge update regarding his fitness as the pace bowler underwent a successful surgery of the Archilies tendon.

Sharing the news about his surgery, the Indian star took to his X account and wrote, I just had a successful heel operation on my Achilles tendon! Recovery is going to take some time, but I look forward to getting back on my feet. #AchillesRecovery #HeelSurgery #RoadToRecovery,”

As soon as Shami gave news about his surgery, it surged all over the internet. Reacting to the same, India’s prime minister, Shri Narendra Modi, sent his heartfelt wishes to the star bowler for his speedy recovery.

PM Modi took to his social media account to wish a quick recovery to the 33-year-old and wrote, “Wishing you a speedy recovery and good health, @MdShami11! I’m confident you’ll overcome this injury with the courage that is so integral to you.”

Shami has been out of Team India for quite a while. The pacer last played for India in the 2023 World Cup and has been out of action since then.

During this time, Shami missed the series against Australia,South Africa, and Afghanistan, and he is not in the squad for the ongoing India vs. England test series.

Shami had a phenomenal World Cup with the ball as the pacer picked up 24 wickets in 7 matches, becoming the highest wicket taker for India in World Cup history.

It would take Shami some time to recover from the injury. Which means Shami is all set to miss the upcoming season of the IPL.

Shami was an integral part of the Gujrat Titans, having played a pivotal role in the franchise’s enormous success in the past two seasons. Shami had picked up 20 wickets in the first season and 28 wickets in the second season for the Titans.
