BCCI Revealed Schedule And Full Squad Of Duleep Trophy 2023

The Duleep Trophy, a prestigious domestic cricket tournament in India, is set to make a grand return after a three-season hiatus. The previous edition saw the West Zone emerge as champions, defeating the South Zone in a gripping final. As the Duleep Trophy returns for the 2023 season, cricket enthusiasts eagerly await the exciting battles that lie ahead.

The upcoming Duleep Trophy will commence with a Quarterfinal stage. The previous season’s finalists, West Zone, and South Zone, have received direct entry into the Semifinals. At the same time, the remaining teams – Central Zone, North Zone, North East Zone, and East Zone – will compete in the quarterfinal matches. Bengaluru has been chosen as the sole venue for all fixtures.

The tournament will kick off on June 28 at the Alur Cricket Ground in Bengaluru. The first quarterfinal will feature Central Zone against East Zone, while the second quarterfinal will see North Zone take on North East Zone at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Both quarterfinal matches will be played from June 28 to July 1.

The winners of the quarterfinal matches will progress to the semifinals. West Zone will face the victorious team from the Central Zone vs. East Zone encounter, while South Zone awaits the North Zone vs. North East Zone clash winners. The semifinals are scheduled from July 5 to 8, with Alur Cricket Ground hosting the first semifinal and the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium hosting the second.

The grand finale of the Duleep Trophy will take place from July 12 to 16 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The match will be contested over five days, adding to the anticipation and excitement surrounding the tournament’s conclusion.

Notable cricketers will lead the six participating teams. Abhimanyu Easwaran will captain East Zone, Mandeep Singh will lead North Zone, Priyank Panchal will take charge of West Zone, Shivam Mavi will guide Central Zone, Hanuma Vihari will spearhead South Zone, and Rongsen Jonathan will captain the North East Zone. These talented leaders will motivate their teams and guide them to success.
