2023 ODI World Cup: Hardik Pandya Shares A Heartfelt Message For Indian Fans After Departure From The Tournament

Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been ruled out from the 2023 ODI World Cup due to an ankle injury. India has already reached the semifinal of the tournament, and the absence of Pandya will definitely hamper team India’s performance in the knockout stage.

Hardik Pandya got injured in order to stop the bowl in the game against Bangladesh on October 19. He twisted his left ankle and has not joined the team since then.

The individual expressed gratitude on social media for the unwavering support from their fans following the official announcement of their withdrawal from the remaining matches of the tournament.

Tough to digest the fact that I will miss out on the remaining part of the World Cup. I’ll be with the team, in spirit, cheering them on every ball of every game. Thanks for all the wishes, the love, and the support has been incredible. This team is special and I’m sure we’ll make everyone proud. Love, always, HP,” Hardik Pandya tweeted.

After Hardik’s injury, the Indian team has added pacer Prasidh Krishna as a replacement for the all-rounder. The tournament’s Event Technical Committee approved this change on Saturday, November 4, and Krishna is now eligible for selection.
