IPL 2023 : These 3 Batters Have Failed To Hit A Six In 135 Balls, Aakash Chopra Pointed Out 2 Major Problems For DC

In the 16th match of IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals will take on Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Stadium on April, 11( Tuesday). Delhi has lost all of the three matches they played in this edition and everyone is talking about their lack of intent in batting.

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra believes that David Warner’s slow approach toward batting is one of the issues that the Delhi Capitals need to address before their upcoming match against the Mumbai Indians. According to him, Warner’s lack of aggressive intent while batting could be a big problem for the team.

So far, David Warner has been the only Delhi Capitals batsman to score more than 60 runs in the IPL 2023, with a total of 158 runs to his name. However, his strike rate has been below average at 117.03 which shows his slow batting approach against opponents.

While talking before the MI vs DC clash on his official youtube channel, Aakash Chopra said, “Mitchell Marsh has posted that he had a lovely weekend, where he got married. So he won’t be available now also. A little more intent is expected from David Warner. We and the fans are expecting that and it seems the owners are also expecting that.”

Aakash Chopra also highlighted that Prithvi Shaw gets in trouble against the left-arm bowlers and Mumbai Indians already have in their playing XI in the name of Jason Behrendoff Arshad Khan.

The commentator said, “Prithvi Shaw struggles a lot against the left farmers. There will be left-farmers here as well. Let’s see, he should score runs but will he do that? I don’t know. After that, Rilee Rossouw – score runs sometimes at least, and Rovman Powell.”

Talking further Aakash Chopra noticed the lack of depth in the batting order. Delhi Capitals have Lalit Yadav, Sarfaraz Khan, and Abhishek Porel on their team who need to take more responsibility. Aakash also highlighted that three of the overseas batters of DC, David Warner, Rovman Powell, and Rilee Russouw are scoring a bit of run but did not hit a single six in the last 135 balls.
