The fast bowler of Lucknow Super Giants Avesh Khan has been in trouble after a thrilling win against RCB in the 15th match of IPL played at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Avesh Khan was involved in an aggressive celebration and has been fined for it. During his celebration, Khan threw his helmet on the ground, which is considered a level-one offense and he has been penalized for it.
The management of the Indian Premier League issued a statement in which they confirmed that Avesh Khan has accepted the punishment for breaching the code of conduct and has been reprimanded accordingly.
“Lucknow Super Giants’ Avesh Khan has been reprimanded for breaching the Code of Conduct. Mr. Avesh admitted to level 1 offense 2.2 of IPL’s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” an IPL statement read.
In the match between RCB and LSG, Lucknow needed just one run to win on the last delivery with one wicket in hand. Avesh Khan was unable to make any contact with the ball, and it went directly to wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik. Despite Karthik’s attempt to catch the ball, he failed, and Avesh Khan along with Ravi Bishnoi managed to complete a single and won the match for the team.
Lucknow Super Giants were assigned to chase a massive total of 213 runs which they achieved on the final ball of the match. Earlier RCB was asked to bat first by LSG. The team got off to a great start with the opening pair of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis putting on a solid 96-run partnership. Virat(61) was then dismissed by Amit Mishra.

After Kohli’s dismissal, Glenn Maxwell joined du Plessis and the duo added a quickfire 115 runs in just 50 balls for the second wicket. Maxwell was eventually dismissed by Mark Wood in the final over for a score of 59 off 29 balls. Du Plessis remained unbeaten on 79 off 46 balls and helped the team to put in a total of 212 runs.
