“If Rahul performs the reward…” LSG’s Head Coach Justin Langer Shares His Opinion On Kl Rahul

KL Rahul is all set to be seen in action in the upcoming IPL season. Kl Rahul’s return will give LSG a much-needed boost, which will be looking for another impressive season. The franchise qualified for the playoffs on both occasions.

However, Franchise’s new head coach, Justin Langer, believes that if KL Rahul performs in the upcoming IPL season, the reward for him would be a slot in the World Cup squad.
Langer said, “If the team does well, everyone gets rewarded.
If KL can captain LSG to the IPL title, that means he would have captained well, batted well, and kept wickets well.”

Apart from KL, Rahul Ravi Bishnoi will also be looking for a slot as Team India’s lead spinner heading into the World Cup.

Sharing his opinion about the same, Langer said, “The message for players like KL or Bishi (Bishnoi) will be that the more they concentrate on playing well for LSG, their chances (of WT20 call-up) will increase.”

On the other hand, Lucknow’s pace bowler David Willey is set to miss the initial matches of the IPL due to personal reasons. Speaking on the same, Justin Langer said, “It is a very good observation that we lack some experience in the pace department, but there is enormous talent. The pacers—they all look fit, healthy, and hungry. We need to manage them well, not just at the start but through the whole tournament. Among pacers, Naveen (ul Haq) has played a lot of T20 cricket.”

Kl Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants are all set to start their campaign against the Rajasthan Royals on March 24.
