Breaking News: Mujeeb Ur Rahman ruled out of the world cup for Afghanistan, this Star player is named as replacement

Mujeeb Ur Rahman, a very important spin bowler from Afghanistan, won’t be able to play in the T20 World Cup because he got hurt. This happened right when his team moved on to the next round called Super Eight. The 23-year-old has helped Afghanistan’s cricket a lot. He has played 46 times in T20 International games and taken 59 wickets, which means he has stopped many runs from being scored, with a very good rate of 6.35 runs per over.

In this competition, Mujeeb didn’t play much. He only played in one game for Afghanistan in Group C, where he did well, getting one wicket for 16 runs in three overs against Uganda. Sadly, he hurt the joint of his right index finger, and the injury was bad enough that he couldn’t continue playing in the tournament.

The recent confirmation of the bad news has led Afghanistan to quickly find a replacement. The ICC Event Technical Committee has agreed to Afghanistan’s request to replace Mujeeb with Hazratullah Zazai, who was already on standby as a backup player.

Mujeeb not being there is a big loss for the Afghanistan team because he can win games and has played a lot internationally. However, the team is still hopeful as they move forward in the competition. Hazratullah Zazai, who is good at hitting big shots, will have to take on more responsibility and help cover for Mujeeb, even though he’ll be doing it in a different way.

The Afghans are now leading the standings with 6 points and a net run rate of +4.230 because they have won all 3 of their games. They started by winning against Uganda, then beat the Black Caps by 84 runs. On Friday, they won against Papua New Guinea by 7 wickets, which guaranteed them a spot in the Super 8.
