WI vs IND 2023: Sanju Samson To Make His Comeback For Both T20I And ODI Series, Team Squad To Be Announced Today

After the World Test Championship, team India is all set for the West Indies tour starting in July. Here the men in blue will play the Test as well as the limited-overs series. All eyes will be on the selection of the squad and it will be interesting to see if some new faces come on board or not.

Meanwhile, according to the latest report, the captain of Rajasthan Royals and the young wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson is all set to return to the senior team for the ODI and T20I series. After missing out on the T20Is against Sri Lanka and New Zealand, the RR captain is expected to be part of the ODI and T20I squads for the Caribbean series. Samson was not given a chance on many occasions but due to the absence of several established players in the team, the RR captain is on the hit list of the selectors.

Sanju Samson was last seen in a T20I against Sri Lanka but unfortunately suffered a hamstring injury. Despite participating in the IPL, his batting performance was not remarkable. In the 16th edition of the tournament, he managed to score only 360 runs in 13 innings. However, the batter will now look to utilize the chance he will get on this West Indies tour and score heaps of runs for him.

Rishabh Pant is out from the team due to injury and for this, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson are the prominent picks for the selectors. On the other hand, KL Rahul has been also suffering from a thigh injury which will eventually open the door for Sanju in the ODI series.
