Why Did Ravi Shastri Use The Phrase “Reminds Me Of A Young Sachin Tendulkar” for India Star?

Rohit Sharma and his men defeated the visitors, England, by a huge margin of 434 runs in the third test match, which was played in Rajkot.

Team India had many heroes in the third test match; however, the major architect in team India’s victory was team India’s young opener, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored a prolific 214 runs, which included 14 boundaries and 12 sixes, which helped team India set a target of 535 runs for England to win the Rajkot frontier.
Yashasvi Jaiswal received a lot of praise from all around the cricketing world, including one of the prominent faces of the game, Ravi Shastri, who compared the young opener with master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

While doing the commentary in the match, Ravi Shastri was all praise for team India’s dashing opener, saying, “Impressed with the way (Yashasvi) Jaiswal has stepped up today. Not just with the bat, but with his performance on the field too. I think going forward, he could be one of Rohit’s go-to part-time options. The ball would be in his hands, whether it’s leg-spin, off-spin, or medium-pace. Jaiswal reminds me of a young Tendulkar. Busy all the time.”

Shastri further added, “This is a classic example of the saying, ‘If you believe in yourself, there is hope’. Nothing is impossible. That’s just a word. He will be constantly involved.”
