The men in “Royal Challengers Banglore “are finally off the mark as they win their first ever title in WPL history. Smriti Mandhana-led RCB defeated the Delhi Capitals by eight wickets to win their first trophy.
Celebrations started to pour all over social media as soon as RCB won their first Cup. However, just after RCB’s victory in the WPL, skipper Smriti Mandhana received a special video call from India’s and RCB’s greatest batsman of modern-day cricket, Virat Kohli.
Photos of Smriti’s interaction with Virat Kohli were surfed all over the internet.
Virat Kohli also took to Instagram, posting a story’ to congratulate RCB’s team for their WPl triumph.
Virat Kohli added “Superwoman” as a caption to the story.
Chasing the total of 114, RCB got off to a decent start, with Smriti and Devine adding 49 for the opening wicket.
While Mandhana took her time, the latter went on to attack the DC bowlers but was trapped in front by Shikha Pandey, who provided DC with their first breakthrough.
Later, Mandhana, along with Perry, took RCB’s innings forward, but the skipper once again fell off to off-spinner Minu Mani on 32.

However, Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh did the job for RCB, helping them win their maiden title.
