This Star to become team India’s next Fielding Coach, Reports make shocking claims

A news report from Rev sports says that Jonty Rhodes, a famous South African cricket player known for his great fielding skills, might become the fielding coach for the Indian cricket team. Although no official offer has been made to him yet, his name is being talked about for the position. The BCCI is currently looking for a new head coach for India because Rahul Dravid’s time as coach will end after the T20 World Cup in 2024. While there’s no official announcement, Gautam Gambhir, a former Indian batsman, is seen as the top choice for the head coach role.

Media reports say that Rhodes had tried to get the job in 2019, but the BCCI chose to keep R Sridhar instead. The head coach usually picks the support staff, and Ravi Shastri picked Sridhar as the fielding coach and Bharat Arun as the bowling coach for the Indian cricket team.

In other news, it’s said that Gambhir is about to become the next head coach of India. He accepted the BCCI’s offer after making some requests. The report says that the management has agreed to his terms, and the official announcement will be made soon.

“We’ve talked to Gambhir about being the head coach for the Indian team. He’ll take over from Rahul Dravid after the T20 World Cup,” a BCCI insider told Dainik Bhaskar.

Right now, Paras Mhambrey is the bowling coach and T Dilip is the fielding coach.

The report mentioned that Gambhir might bring his own team of helpers and his hiring could cause some changes in the team because he likes choosing players for different types of games.
