SRH’s Cricket Strategy Decoded by Simon Helmot

On Tuesday, May 21, assistant coach Simon Helmot stated that SRH will stick to their aggressive ‘high risk-high reward’ batting strategy despite the defeat to KKR. In the Indian Premier League’s first qualifier, KKR blanked SRH at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After KKR amassed a 160-run goal in the first 14 overs of the match, SRH was defeated by 8 wickets.

After the game, Helmot told the reporters that although it wasn’t SRH’s day, there were still a lot of good things to learn from the encounter. Helmot stated that it was critical for the group to bounce back from the setback as soon as possible and be ready for the match on the 24th, in which SRH would take on the victor of RR vs. RCB.

“You know, we’re still going to play cricket in our own way. Additionally, this wasn’t our night. That occurs. “We have to move on in a few days and play in a channel, obviously against RCB or Rajasthan, so we’re going to put this game aside very, very quickly,” Simon Helmot stated at the news conference following the game.

“Sadly, it wasn’t our day today. They had excellent front-end bowling. This ground, in my opinion, demonstrates your ability to put pressure on the opposition and score heavily in the first innings. So, you know, that wasn’t our day,” he continued.

Sunrisers now will go to Chennai where they will be facing the winner of RCB vs RR clash.
