Robin Uthappa Says Good Bye To International Cricket, Leaves An Emotional Message

Robin Uthappa, one of the most renowned batters in Indian cricket, has finally declared his retirement from all forms of the game on September 14, 2022. The right-handed batsman most recently represented Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2022 and Kerala in Indian domestic cricket.

He posted a heartfelt message on social media thanking everyone who had helped him in his career, including his family and the BCCI members. He also thanked his IPL and domestic teams.

Robin Uthappa wrote in his caption, “It has been my greatest honour to represent my country and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end, and with a grateful heart, I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. Thank you all”

He also expressed gratitude to the Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, his current and past IPL teams. Uthappa played 12 games for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL last year and amassed 230 runs, with an average of 88. However, Chennai will not advance to the play-off rounds.

Uthappa played in 46 ODIs for India and scored 934 runs after making his ODI debut in Guwahati against England. In 13 T20Is for India, he would later go on to score 249 runs.
