Team India’s star wicketkeeper-batsman, Rishabh Pant, is all set to return to competitive cricket with the upcoming IPL season. Pant is all set to return to cricket after the southpaw met with a fatal car accident in December 2022.
His IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals, shared a post on social media as soon as the wicketkeeper batter was granted medical clearance by BCCI. The Delhi Capitals posted a graphic photo of Rishabh Pant with the caption “Tiger returns.”
Seeing the post, a fan was not very pleased. The user @Div_yumm wrote that he could make a better poster than this. The user further added that Rishabh Pant would return to driving after seeing this.
The user said, “Isse achha me banake de deta bhai, ye dekh kr wapis car chalane chal jayega wo.”.
Rishabh Pant saw this comment, and the star wicketkeeper reacted by using laughing emojis.
On March 12, the BCCI gave medical clearance to Rishabh Pant for his participation in the upcoming IPL season as a wicketkeeper-batsman.
In its official statement, BCCI said, “After undergoing an extensive 14-month rehab and recovery process, following a life-threatening road mishap on December 30th, 2022, near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Rishabh Pant has now been declared fit as a wicket-keeper batter for the upcoming TATA IPL 2024.”
