Record Alert: With His Blistering Half Century Pooran Achieves Special Milestone In IPL 2023

The 15-ball fifty from Pooran’s bat is also the joint second-fastest fifty in IPL history. Before Pooran, Yusuf Pathan and Sunil Narine have also scored their half-centuries in this league in 15 balls. Yusuf did this feat in the year 2014 and Narine in 2017.

Before Pooran in IPL 2023, the record for the fastest half-century this season was held by Chennai Super Kings batsman Ajinkya Rahane, who scored a half-century in 19 balls against Mumbai Indians. Rahane, batting in a stormy manner, played an explosive inning of 61 runs in 27 balls.

KL Rahul and Pat Cummins hold the record for the fastest fifty in IPL. In 2018, KL Rahul scored Fifty in 14 balls while playing against Delhi Capitals. At the same time, Cummins completed his half-century against Mumbai Indians in just 14 balls in the year 2022.
