R Ashwin or Yuzvendra Chahal, Who Would Be The Ideal 2nd Spinner With Axar Patel Against Pakistan?

Almost all the teams are giving the last finishing touch to their T20 World Cup preparation. India will play its first match of the tournament on 23rd October against Pakistan. The match will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

For the same, it will be interesting to see that between R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal who will be the second spin-blowing option for India. Axar Patel is already reserved in the playing XI in place of the injured Ravindra Jadeja. Both Chahal and Ashwin will be tested in the warm-up match against New Zealand. After this match against the Kiwis, Rohit Sharma and the company will move to Melbourne where the team has to play the opening encounter against the arch-rivals. The long boundary dimensions of Melbourne will definitely keep spinners an inch high against the batters. There is no doubt that Yuzvendra Chahal has a good track record as a spinner. He has more probability of picking wickets than the senior spinner R Ashwin whose wicket-taking abilities have been reduced in recent years. However, Ashwin has more experience in blowing on Australian soil and it would be interesting to see whom management picks.
