Nearly every team is suffering from injury before the T20 World Cup and the latest to join this list is Sri Lanka. According to the latest report by Cricbuzz, the team’s star fast bowler Dusmantha Chameera is struggling with his fitness and he is doubtful for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The report claims that the pacer has gone through another calf injury and is unable to play in the crucial game against Netherland which will be held on October 20.
The bowler is suffering from an injury before the Asia Cup 2022 and he didn’t take part in that tournament. However, he passed the fitness test, and then only he was admitted to the Sri Lankan T20 World Cup squad. Apart from Chameera, the team’s star batter Danushka Gunathilaka and pace bowler Pramod Madushan are also going up and down with their fitness. Sri Lanka is playing qualifiers and they are placed at 3rd in their group with 2 points. The team lost a crucial match against Namibia.
