Not Ben Stokes Or Ravindra Jadeja, Ambati Rayudu Picks The Next CSK’s Captain After MS Dhoni Departure

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is in his last career in Indian Premier League. The cricketer has already retired from international cricket and he will hardly play the next season, depending upon his fitness.

The biggest concern is Chennai Super Kings next captain after the departure of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.Chennai Super Kings has Ravindra Jadeja and Ben Stokes as the two most experienced contenders for the next captain’s role but former CSK batter Amabati Rayudu has picked the young batter Ruturaj Gaikwad for the team’s next skipper.Over the last three seasons, Gaikwad has been remarkable and has consistently performed well for Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Ambati Rayudu believes that under the mentorship of MS Dhoni, Gaikwad has the potential to be nurtured into a player who could lead the team for at least 10 years. While having an interview with Behindwoods TV, Rayudu said,”Coming to the future, I think Ruturaj has a great chance. He has those leadership qualities in him.

He is calm, down-to-earth and extremely talented.”Talking ahead, Rayudu said that Gaikwad should get a chance to play in all the three formats for India which will probably make him the most complete batter.”India makes the best use of him (Gaikwad). I don’t think they are at the moment. He should be playing every format for India.”
