New Mandate From BCCI For The Indian Bowlers To Manage Workload During IPL 2023

After the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL 2023), the Indian cricket team has to go to England to play the final of the ICC World Test Championship against Australia.

In such a situation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has taken a big decision. BCCI has issued a mandate for the bowlers of the Indian team between IPL 2023.

According to the reports, given the ICC WTC Final 2023, the BCCI has asked the Indian bowlers to double their workload. The bowlers must do more bowling practice during IPL for a better target. In such a situation, Indian bowlers will be seen doing more work in the nets. Indian bowlers will also be seen practicing with the red ball. Indian players have been given a target of 200 deliveries in a week.

Bharat Arun, former bowling coach of the Indian team, said, “It is important that the bowlers have adequate workload before the World Test Championship final. They should be well prepared in WTC. The command is largely for all fast bowlers, but spinners have also been given similar advice.”

The final match of the World Test Championship (WTC) between India and Australia will be played from June 7 to June 11 at the Kennington Oval (London) ground in England. The last date for submitting the team for the World Test Championship (WTC) final is May 7.

Indian team has made it to the final of the ICC World Test Championship for the second time in a row. But last time, in the final, India had to face defeat at the hands of New Zealand.

IPL 2023: Rohit Sharma Or Virat Kohli, Who Will Score More Runs? Ravi Shastri Picks A Name

Indian captain Rohit Sharma had said on the players’ workload before IPL 2023, “It is now dependent on the franchisees because now the franchisees are the owners of the players. We have given hints about this to the franchisees. Now it also depends on the players. They are adults and must take care of their own bodies. If they feel that something is happening too much, they can talk and take a break from one or two matches. However, I do not think that something like this will happen.”
