The auction for the IPL 2024 season happened today in Dubai’s Coca-Cola arena where all the ten franchises came forward to fill their squad with some serious talents. The five-time champions, Mumbai Indians got some exciting players in this event.

Mumbai has won the IPL five times under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. However, in the upcoming season, Rohit Sharma will no longer be seen as the skipper of the side and it is Hardik Pandya who will take charge of the team.

In this year’s IPL, Mumbai made the highest bid on the young South African pacer Gerald Coetzee whom they got for INR 5 Crore. Apart from that, they also bought the veteran of Afghanistan Mohammed Nabi for INR 1.5 core.

Last season Mumbai made it into the playoffs and finished it in fourth place. They won eight matches out of 14. It will be interesting to see how Hardik Pandya leads this franchise this year. Earlier, he was the captain of Gujarat Titans for the 2022 and 2023 editions.
