IPL 2023: ‘I Am 2000% Sure That This Will Be The Last IPL Of MS Dhoni’, Claims The Former CSK Player

The former Chennai Super Kings player Kedar Jadhav has given a clear statement that IPL 2023 is the last edition of MS Dhonis as a player in this cash-rich league. Jadhav said that Dhoni will retire after this 16th edition. Popularly known as Captain Cool, the 41-year wicketkeeper batter has played 238 matches and also captained a record 213 matches in this tournament.

Although there has been a lot of speculation about MS Dhoni’s retirement and the possibility of the ongoing 16th edition of the IPL being his last, the captain has not yet made an official announcement on this matter. However, according to his former teammate Kedar Jadhav, he is “2000%” sure that Dhoni will retire from the IPL at the end of this season.

While having an interaction with News18 CricketNext, Kedar Jadhav said, “I am telling you this with 2,000 percent certainty that this will be MS Dhoni’s final season as a player in IPL. Dhoni will turn 42 this July. Although still fit, Dhoni is also a human after all. So, I think this will be his final season. Fans shouldn’t be missing any of his matches, they should be watching every ball he’s in the field.”

MS Dhoni also made a huge record in the game against Rajasthan Royals. In that match against RR at Chepauk on April 12, MS Dhoni became the first player to captain a single franchise in 200 matches.

Not only this but when the former Indian captain came to bat against the RR in death overs, he broke the record of digital viewership at the portal of Jio Cinema. About 2.2 crore viewers tuned in when the CSK skipper came to bat at the crease.
