The veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has praised the Gujarat Titans opener and described him as a highly skilled batsman who has a great sense of timing when he hits the ball. The spinner also mentioned that Gill has the potential to represent the Indian cricket team in all three formats for a longer period of time. He further added that Gill’s impressive performances for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL must have boosted his confidence.
While speaking to Star Sports, Harbhajan Singh said,”All eyes will be on Shubman Gill for the next few years. He looks like a perfect timer of the cricket ball. He will play big innings and play for India in multiple formats. Performance for Gujarat Titans in IPL must have given him a lot of self-confidence.”
The former Indian batter Shubman Gill has also praised Shubman Gill for his amazing batting skills, particularly his ability to handle spin bowlers. According to the 57-year-old, Gill has been crucial for Gujarat Titans because he is one of those batters knows to play spin well.
“When the spinners are in the attack, Shubman Gill stays at the wicket, and that has been good for Gujarat. He reads spinners well and doesn’t take extra risks,” Manjrekar said.
In this IPL edition, Gill has played 9 matches for Gujarat in which he has clinched 339 runs at an average of 37.67.
