India Did A Blunder Not Including This Star In The Playing XI, Shane Watson Pointed The Biggest Mistake Of Rohit Sharma

The Indian team was knocked out of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 after the loss against England in the second semifinal at Adelaide Oval on November 10. After this loss, from experts to fans everyone is criticizing the team selection and the kind of intent the player showed in the T20 World Cup.

According to many former cricketers, India did a blunder by not including Yuzvendra Chahal in the playing XI in any of the matches. Cricinformer has learned that former Australian Shane Watson is one such player who is not happy with the Indian side for not playing Yuzvendra Chahal. Watson explained that a wrist spinner in such an Australian condition would have brought the biggest difference, especially in the game against England. Talking to star sports Shane Watson said, “India did not have a wrist spinner and England’s spinner had two. In hindsight they certainly missed Chahal. He can control his pace like Rashid did tonight. He has got incredible skills and would have been brilliant tonight.” Watson also criticized the approach and intent of Indian batters throughout the tournament. He feels that the Indian openers were so timid to use the powerplays and they were quite conservative.

The former Australian all-rounder said, “India was too timid with the bat. Unfortunately, Rohit and KL have not been able to take the game on in the first six overs. They have got the firepower but you have to take the game on in T20 cricket.”
