Is Everything Fine Between BCCI And Rahul Dravid? VVS Laxman To Coach India On New Zealand Tour

India had a sad ending in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The team lost the semifinal battle against England and was knocked out of the tournament. Now after the T20 World Cup, India will now fly to New Zealand where team India will play a three-match T20 and ODI series. According to the latest report now VVS Laxman will be the coach for this upcoming New Zealand tour, eventually confirming a rest to Rahul Dravid.

This news was confirmed by an anonymous BCCI source and for this tour, many senior players have been rested as well. A source close to PTI said, “The NCA team headed by Laxman with Hrishikesh Kanitkar (batting) and Sairaj Bahutule (bowling) will join the New Zealand-bound squad.” For the T20 series, Hardik Pandya has been assigned as the captain, on the other hand, ODI captaincy on this New Zealand tour will be handled by Shikhar Dhawan. The series will start from the three-match ODI series where the first game will be played on November 18. Talking about the T20 World Cup, Indian batters struggled for runs and bowlers also did not pick wickets when required. Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli were the only two batters who looked impressive throughout the tournament.
