Ian Bishop Predicts Semifinalist Of T20 World Cup 2024, Left Out Pakistan

Former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop has predicted his semifinalist for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. The World Cup is set to take place in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA). Bishop also selected the four teams he believes will reach the semifinals of the tournament, scheduled from June 1 to June 29.

The ninth T20 World Cup will have 55 matches with 20 teams. The top two teams from each group will move on to the Super 8 stage. From there, the top two teams in each Super 8 group will advance to the knockout stage, which includes two semi-finals and a final match.

The much-awaited India-Pakistan match will happen in New York at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, June 9. The semi-finals are set for June 26 and 27 in Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago. The final will take place at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 29.

In an interview with ESPNCricinfo, Ian Bishop predicted that the top four teams in the T20 World Cup will be the West Indies, England, India, and Australia.

Group A: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and the United States

Group B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, and Oman

Group C: New Zealand, the West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea
Group D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Netherlands, and Nepal
