‘I have no complaints against MS. In fact…’, Harbhajan Singh Clears All The Rumours Of Rift With Captain Cool

It has been for quite some time now that the rumor of the rift between the former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has been circulating on social media. Both players have had successful careers with the Indian team and also played together for Chennai Super Kings. However, Harbhajan Singh spoke publicly about the rumored tension with his former teammate MS Dhoni.

Despite ongoing speculation, neither MS Dhoni nor Harbhajan Singh has publicly addressed the rumored rift between them. However, when Harbhajan announced his retirement from cricket in December 2021, he did make a hint about the rumored tension between him and Dhoni which sparked talks among fans and their critics.

While speaking to Dainik Jagran, Harbhajan said, “When someone takes over 400 wickets and then he doesn’t get a chance or he’s not been told the reason for the drop, many questions are raised in mind. I asked many people regarding my drop out from the team, but I didn’t get any reply.”

After his retirement in January 2022, Harbhajan attempted to clarify the situation. He stated that his earlier remarks were not directed toward Dhoni and that he had no issues with the former Indian captain. But, his comments were aimed at the BCCI.
“I have no complaints against MS. In fact, he has been a good friend all these years. I have complained to the BCCI, the sarkar (government) of that time. I call BCCI as sarkar! The selectors of that time didn’t do justice to their roles. They didn’t allow the team to be united,” he had told News 18 in an interview.

During an interview with SportsYaari on Friday, Harbhajan Singh finally put an end to the rumors about his supposed rift with MS Dhoni. He stated that he and Dhoni are “good friends” and he dismissed all the claims regarding the dispute with the CSK’s captain.

India’s Possible 11 For The First ODI Match Against Australia

“Why would I have a problem with MS Dhoni? We played a lot of cricket for India and have been very, very good friends, and still are. He became busy with his life, and I became busy with mine, and we don’t meet very often. But there’s no rift whatsoever,” Bhajji said.
