India’s Possible 11 For The First ODI Match Against Australia

The first match of the three-match ODI series will be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Several members of the Indian cricket team, including stand-in captain Hardik Pandya, practised at the Wankhede Stadium ahead of the ODI series against Australia.

In the three-match ODI series against Australia starting on Friday, the Indian team will try to strengthen their best players for the World Cup 2023. For the Indian team, the injury of Shreyas Iyer is a cause of concern, but it also brings an opportunity for the players like Surya Kumar Yadav to showcase their talent in ODI cricket as well.

In the all-around spin department, a mantra of success on subcontinent pitches, the Indian team is blessed with three quality players: Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar. Indian team management will closely monitor Jadeja’s performance in this comeback series.

With regular skipper Rohit Sharma missing the first ODI in Mumbai due to family commitments, stand-in captain Pandya was among the players to practice for over two hours with the white ball for the match.

Pandya, who was appointed as the vice-captain for the series, practised bowling as well as batting. The Australian players also took part in the practice session in the afternoon.
