Former South African great and Rcb Stalwart Ab Devilliers has backed Virat Kohli to be at his absolute best in the upcoming IPL season. Virat Kohli has been out of action for the past couple of months and will be back on the cricket field for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Ab Devilliers hailed Virat’s IPL career as incredible.
Speaking about Virat on his YouTube channel, Ab Devilliers said, “Stalwart, King Kohli, over 7,000 runs, over 200 IPL matches—but that’s simply incredible. That’s like a career in and of itself.
“Virat will be back. We’ve missed him dearly and absolutely cannot wait to watch the best of him this coming season.”
Ab Devilliers also backed his former South African teammate Faf du Plessis to do very well in this upcoming season. Faf du Plessis had a forgetful season with the bat, but RCB’s skipper Faf du Plessis gained form heading into the final stages of the tournament.
Speaking on Faf du Plessis, Ab Devilliers said, “He has had a little bit of a dip in form of late, but towards the back end of the SA20, he started finding his feet again, which boasts well for RCB this season.”
Ab Devilliers even went on to praise RCB’s bowling lineup, which includes Mohammad Siraj, Lokie Ferguson, Reece Topley, and domestic players like Vyshak Vijayakumar, Yash Dayal, and Himanshu Sharma, who will be eager to showcase their talent in the tournament.

Speaking of RCB’s bowling, Ab Devilliers said, “The bowling department, led by Mohammed Siraj, plays a huge role in that department.” “I think there’s very nice depth this time around, and I think that’s one of the big reasons I feel RCB is going to go all the way this year.”
RCB is all set to kick off their campaign against the Chennai Super Kings on March 22.
