How Did Jasprit Bumrah Respond to James Anderson’s Challenge?

Team India’s Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was named Man of the Match after his astonishing performance against England in the second test. Bumrah topped the charts as he picked up nine wickets in the second test match against England. He picked up 3 wickets in the second innings and 6 in the first, beating Double Centurion Yashasvi Jaiswal to claim the man of the match award.

At the post-match presentation, Bumrah was asked about his Yorker delivery, which dismissed England’s batter, Ollie Pope, in the first inning.

The Indian Ace commentator Harsha Bhogle reminded Bumrah that his Yorker has been the talk of the town and great Waqar Younis was also impressed by the delivery.
At the start, Bumrah was informed about his magical numbers in the subcontinent, in spite of pitches favoring spinners, to which he replied that he doesn’t focus on numbers that much.

Bumrah said, “I don’t pay attention to the numbers now. As a youngster, it excited me, but now it’s like added baggage.”

When asked about his Yorker, Bumrah said that this was the first delivery that he learned, as he had seen the greatest pacemen of the game like Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Zaheer Khan.

When asked about his competition with England’s all-time greatest paceman, James Anderson, Bumrah showed his humble side and said that he doesn’t get into things like this.
