“He is going to struggle…”Prithvi Shaw’s Struggles Unraveled: Sunil Gavaskar’s Analysis and Recommendations

A prolific batter with a lot of talent and potential, he made his century-on-test debut. This is how Indian fans remember one of the most elegant stroke makers of the game, Privi Shaw.

Prithivi Shaw was not a part of Compititve cricket for quite a long time, but he made a grand comeback in Compititve cricket as he scored a century for Mumbai in his comeback game.

Shaw suffered a knee injury during his county cricket game, which forced him to be out of action for quite a long time. The injury was so serious that Shaw underwent surgery. However, upon his comeback, Shaw scored a masterful 159 of 185 balls, which included 18 boundaries and three sixes.

This century became quite special for Shaw, as he became the first batter to score a century on day one of a first-class match.

Shaw received compliments from all around the cricket world, but one of the greatest test batters, Sunil Gavaskar, was not very convinced by the innings played by Shaw.

Sunil Gavaskar suggested that Shaw needs to work on his technique; otherwise, he is going to struggle. Gavaskar revealed that the teams have found out about the predominant movement of his front foot, so unless Shaw starts playing shots from the backfoot, he is going to struggle.
