The gossip around Ishan Kishan continues as the wicket-keeper batter is set to miss the upcoming final round of the Ranji Trophy which will start on February 16. Kumar Kushagra will remain the designated wicketkeeper for Jharkhand during this period.
Jharkhand, with a sole victory and 10 points from six matches thus far, is scheduled to face Rajasthan in Jamshedpur in their concluding round. The long absence of Kishan from cricket continues to attract attention and speculation.
As per a report, the young player is in communication with coach Rahul Dravid and has already conveyed his current emphasis on fitness and training.
Earlier Rahul Dravid talked about the comeback of Rahul Dravid and said, “Whenever he is ready, I didn’t say he has to play domestic cricket, I said whenever he is ready, he needs to play some cricket and come back. The choice is his. We are not forcing him to do anything.”
Kishan has been on a break after opting out from the South Africa tour. The dynamic left-hander was not included in the T20Is against Afghanistan and has not been part of the discussions for the ongoing five-Test series against England.
