After the game against Pakistan, India lost another close encounter, and this time against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka and India met at Dubai International Stadium where Rohit led team had a hard day at the ground.

In the super 4 match between India and Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl first. India captain Rohit Sharma had a blast after a long time and he scored 72 runs in just 41 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes. Apart from him Suryakumar Yadav also contributed with the bat and got 34 runs from his bat.

While chasing a target of 174 runs, Sri Lanka had a superb start where both the openers Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis added 97 runs for the team and kept the base of this convincing win. Nissanka got 52 runs under his belt, whereas Kusal Mendis scored 57 runs which is also the team’s highest individual score of the match.

At last Bhanuka Rajpaksa(25) and captain Dausn Shanaka(33) took the team to their home.
