India captain Rohit Sharma had a blast after a long time and he scored 72 runs in just 41 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes. Apart from him Suryakumar Yadav also contributed with the bat and got 34 runs from his bat.
While chasing a target of 174 runs, Sri Lanka had a superb start where both the openers Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis added 97 runs for the team and kept the base of this convincing win. Nissanka got 52 runs under his belt, whereas Kusal Mendis scored 57 runs which is also the team’s highest individual score of the match.
