The BCCI awards were held on Tuesday, January 23 in Hyderabad. In this ceremony, prominent figures like Shubman Gill, Ravi Shastri, Smriti Mandhana, and Jasprit Bumrah were garnered with special achievements.
Ashwin was honored with the Dilip Sardesai Award for emerging as the leading wicket-taker in Test cricket during India vs West Indies series in 2022-23. The veteran off-spinner also clinched the Polly Umrigar Award for the best international cricketer of the year, marking his second time receiving this accolade.
Ravi Shastri and Farokh Engineer were honored with the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Renowned Indian women cricketers, including Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Deepti Sharma, were recipients of awards at the prestigious ceremony.
