“Don’t Waste time there…”Harbhajan Singh’s massive plea to Garry Kristen after Pakistan’s mediocre performance in the World Cup

Former Indian off-spinner and World Cup winner Harbhajan Singh told his friend Gary Kirsten to leave his job as the head coach of the Pakistan men’s cricket team. Harbhajan made a strong statement, telling Kirsten not to spend time with Pakistan cricket. He also mentioned that it would be nice to see Kirsten come back to India and work with the main national team.

Harbhajan Singh made these remarks after hearing that Gary Kirsten, as reported by Pakistani media, criticized the Pakistan team for not being united. Kirsten reportedly said that it was tough to work in a team with different groups.

“Don’t waste your time there, Gary. Come back and coach Team India. Gary Kirsten is a rare gem, a great coach, mentor, and friend to everyone in the team. He was our winning coach in the 2011 World Cup. Special man, Gary @Gary_Kisten,” Harbhajan Singh wrote on X.

Pakistan was eliminated from the T20 World Cup 2024 during the group stage. This was the first time Gary Kirsten worked with the team, including captain Babar Azam, after being hired by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) before the tournament started.

It’s important to note that Gary Kirsten previously coached India to win the 2011 World Cup. The South African coach worked with the team led by MS Dhoni from 2008 to 2011. He was there in Mumbai when Dhoni’s team won the prestigious trophy, ending a 28-year wait.
