The current title holders, India, will start their journey in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup by playing against their big rivals, Pakistan, on July 19. This event will take place in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. Originally, India was set to play against the UAE first, but now they will play Pakistan first and then face the UAE on July 21, according to the new schedule.
The Asia Cup will happen from July 19 to 28 in Dambulla and, for the first time ever, will include 8 teams.
The current title holders, India, are placed in Group A with Pakistan, Nepal, and the United Arab Emirates. The other group consists of Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Last year’s competition, which took place after being delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic, had only 7 teams participating.

B: Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Thailand
The top two teams from each group will make their way into the semifinals Which is scheduled to be played on July 26 while the final will be played on July 28.

Semi finals on July 26
Finals on July 28.
India, who have won the championship seven times, aim to continue their control over the region by winning again. They just beat South Africa 3-0 in a series of one-day matches at home and will soon play a single Test match against them in Chennai.
