Discovering the Brilliance of Dhruv Jurel’s Maiden Test Knock: Insights & Analysis by Ex-Indian star

Dhruv Jurel

Team India is playing the third test match of the ongoing five-match test series against England.

However, before starting the test match, India made a few changes to their playing 11 for this match. One of the notable changes was trying Dhruv Jurel in place of Ks Bharat as wicketkeeper-batsman.

Dhruv Jurel had an impressive start to his international career. Jurel scored a gusty 46 of 104 deliveries before he lost his wicket to England’s leggie Rehan Ahmed. Dhruv Jurel was one of the two debutants for Team India. Having missed out on his half-century by a margin of four runs, Dhruv Jurel showed his potential in his very first test inning itself.

Dhruv Jurel earned praise for his impressive performance in his debut match from all over the cricketing world. One of them was Team India’s former opener Parthiv Patel, who was impressed with the first test innings of Dhurv Jurel.

Parthiv Patel said, “Ashwin has been playing cricket for a long time. But I was very impressed with the way Dhruv Jurel batted in his first test inning. He took his time and looked assured. Dhruv seems to trust his defense; he is not playing with hard hands and is allowing the ball to come to him.”

Parthiv Patel was also impressed with the way Dhruv Jurel tackled Mark Wood. As he was getting into a good position, he batted with grit and determination and took his chances when needed.

Talking about the match after team India’s 445/10 on the scoreboard in the first inning, England showed a great fightback in the game as they scored 207/2 in just 35 overs, with Ben Ducket scoring (133) along with Joe Root (9).
